I was cleaning up the other day and I noticed this little piece of paper that got lost in between some bills I was just about to throw out…
…it was the original doodle that would become my most recent painting, ‘Moloch‘.
I receive questions (like most, if not all painters), regarding what inspired me or what the painting might be based on, but in a lot of cases it is simply this:
I’m listening to some music and doodling the first thing that pops in my mind. In this particular case I was at work, listening to Paysage d’Hiver (with earphones, let me assure you), had a random idea, scribbled it on a notepad, and a couple of months later there is the finished product (pictured above, on the left).
I usually throw out my doodles, but for this one time I thought it might be fun to share it.
